Dear Veronica,
One year ago white men came on Indian land and took you away. Away you went from your home, your family, your people, and your land. We pray for forgiveness to overtake us so we waste no negative energy toward those who do not know what they have done.
Oh, they know they have taken you from your daddy and your family. What they don’t know plays out in their day-to-day life. Unrest, lack of peace, anxiety, guilt, and shame become points of reference until they no longer have meaning. Then a consciousness of unforgiveness and blatant disregard for the value of family and human dignity become the driving force.
Please know how much you are loved. So many people continue to pray, plan for, and anticipate your return to your home, your family, and your people. Veronica, your temporary displacement from your home will eventually come full circle. Your daddy and all your family love you.
